EA Reveals Nintendo Switch Big Release

nintendo switch big release ea

That’s right EA sports has teased us with a Nintendo Switch big release. What exactly does this mean?

Well, earlier today Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen spoke during the UBS Global Technology conference. While speaking he teased EA’s plans for the Nintendo Switch. Jorgensen mentioned EA is working on “a game or two” for the Nintendo Switch currently. It sounds as if at least one of these titles will be ports at this point. When asked about the extent of the title, the CFO stated the following:

“We haven’t yet announced what game, but you should assume that it’s one of our bigger games.”

Jorgensen went on to say, “We’re excited for Nintendo”. It sure sounds like EA is excited considering the fact they are porting over a Nintendo Switch big release. Jorgensen also stated the following about the Nintendo Switch:

“It’s an interesting device. But I can’t yet predict how broad it’s going to be,” he stated. “Will people be interested in a portable device alongside their regular portable device that they have today?”

It sounds like EA is excited, but still somewhat hesitant to see how the market responds to the Nintendo Switch. EA only released a total of 4 games on the WiiU before giving up hope on the device. The Wii on the other hand received dozens of games from EA. EA won’t waste time with the Nintendo Switch if they know the device isn’t selling well. Let’s hope the Nintendo Switch will be a big hit and EA will provide the device with future big releases.

EA is just one of the few developers supporting the Nintendo Switch. A full list of partners can be viewed HERE. In regards to the “big” release coming to the Nintendo Switch, what game could it possibly be? Is it possible we could see Battlefield 1 on the Switch? What about Fifa 17 or maybe even Need for Speed. Let us know what you all think in the comments or on our social media pages.
