LEGO City Undercover confirmed Nintendo Switch

LEGO City Undercover was just confirmed for the Nintendo Switch by Warner Bros. Not only will the Switch be getting LEGO City Undercover, but the former WiiU exclusive is also being released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.

Warner Bros announced the following on Twitter:

Join the Chase! LEGO CITY Undercover is looking for new recruits on PlayStation®4, Xbox One®, Nintendo Switch™ and STEAM® in Spring 2017.

I don’t believe LEGO City Undercover was quite as successful as other LEGO titles, but it is not a terrible game. LEGO City uses an open world platform which allows plenty of freedom. This title has not had much exposure due to being a WiiU exclusive, so it will be nice to see how well it does on the Nintendo Switch.

LEGO City Undercover is currently set for Spring 2017 release. This means we will have access to this title rather early in the Nintendo Switch release window. While this may just be another port for the Nintendo Switch it is great to see the support the Switch is receiving. The fact that developers are actively supporting the Switch is a great sign.

Hopefully we will continue to receive more Nintendo Switch title confirmations as we near launch. I am excited to get my hands on this re-release for the Switch. Let me know what you think about the release in the comments.
