The creators of Cube Life Island Survival on the WiiU, Cypronia, have just released a trailer of footage from the Nintendo Switch version.
For those of you who have not heard of Cube Life Island Survival, it is a very successful indie title that was developed for the WiiU in 2005. This Minecraft inspired title has been confirmed to be coming to the Nintendo Switch, and now we are getting our first teaser video.
Cube Life Island Survival has always looked more realistic than Minecraft which is rather nice. I personally think this will be a very successful title on the Nintendo Switch. What are your thoughts on the trailer? Are you interested in getting Cube Life Island Survival on the Nintendo Switch? This title is set to start at a $4.99 price point on the Nintendo Switch, and it will be released in the late Spring of 2017. I could see it possibly releasing during the launch window if we are lucky! If you would like to read more about this title, you can check out our announcement article HERE.
Our whole team has been designing this Nintendo Switch Magazine over the last few months. Magazines may not be the most popular form of news, but they sure look amazing.
Nothing will look better next to your Nintendo Switch than a whole stack of Nintendo Switch themed magazines. Plus, this gives us a way to bring the Nintendo Switch community together. This includes bringing the developers into the community and allowing them to interact with the consumers who enjoy playing their games.
The Nintendo Switch Network Magazine will start at approximately $10.99 each issue for the print version. The digital version will be included for free, or you can buy the digital version separate for $1.99. Patrons who pay $1.99 per magazine will also receive early access to the digital version.
Our magazines will feature EXCLUSIVE content that can’t be found anywhere else. We won’t even post this exclusive content on our website. We have already set up exclusive interviews with studios developing games for the Nintendo Switch, and we will continue to include those in every issue we release. On top of exclusive content, we will be including giveaways in each issue of the Nintendo Switch Magazine. These giveaways are exclusive to our Magazine readers in order to thank you all for the massive support. Whether you prefer digital or physical magazines, we will have both available for purchase. The digital version of our magazine will also be available via mobile devices which makes it easy to access.
We are currently planning on publishing issues bi-monthly. Our goal is to publish the issues digitally and physically on the first week of every other month. Patrons will get EXCLUSIVE access of our magazine digitally up to a week before everyone has access to view it. Also, you will only be charged PER magazine we release which will be every other month until we hit our $500 goal. Our first issue is set to release by the first week in January if everything goes well!
We need your help!
All we need from you all is your support! We are not here to make money, our simple goal is to provide the best content for our fellow Nintendo Switch fans. Sadly, designing a magazine does take a lot of work and publishing the magazine takes quite a bit of money. All we ask is that you contribute to our Patreon if you would like to help support the Nintendo Switch Network Magazine. We also need help spreading the word, so please share our Patreon with all of your friends. The bigger Nintendo Switch community we have, the more content we can continue to produce for you all.

Some more interesting rumors arise after Nintendo Switch patents are revealed. Patents tend to be a pretty accurate depiction of a system, so this is one of the few rumors worth reading through.
These Nintendo Switch Patents were revealed on NEOGaf if you wish to view all the images. I will be breaking down the most important patents I gathered from the thread.
To start off, once again these patents are pointing towards the Nintendo Switch having touch screen capabilities. These patents also show functionality for gyroscope, and rumble features for the Joy Cons. Most of the other features seen on the actual device seem to be information we have already received.
One of the most interesting bits I found was several different “extra” Joy Con patents. There are several of these Joy Cons listed which have a d-pad rather that an analog stick. This may not be confirmation, but it is safe to say there is a possibility of the Switch having the ability to switch between Joy Cons with different button lay outs/designs. This would also fall in line with the rumors we received in the past stating Nintendo would sell different Joy Con pieces you could interchange with the Nintendo Switch.
I have no idea how much these Joy Cons may cost, but I definitely hope we will have the ability to buy Joy Cons with different button layouts. This brings me to the patent I located which had 4 separate Joy Cons playing on one TV. This is also an indicator that we will have the ability to buy extra Joy Cons without buying a whole new Nintendo Switch.
Virtual reality? Looks like the Nintendo Switch may work hand in hand with virtual reality. One of the patents shows the tablet portion of the Nintendo Switch sliding into a virtual reality headset. I have no idea whether or not Nintendo will roll with it, but it is kind of interesting. I also wonder whether or not it will be bundled with the Nintendo Switch or whether we will have to buy the headset separately.
What are your thoughts on these patents? Would you enjoy using virtual reality capabilities on the Nintendo Switch?
Rime, once a PlayStation exclusive title, is now set to release on multiple platforms including the Nintendo Switch. I must be a poet because I’m loving the looks of Rime… Sorry for the terrible play of words.
So, the Brazilian Ratings Board, has rated Rime for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Just to further emphasize, this ratings board is a very accurate source for gaming leaks, but there has NOT been an official announcement from the developers yet. I have reached out to the developers for further confirmation and I will update this post as soon as I hear back. Big thanks to Gematsu for spotting this rating on the Brazilian Ratings Board.
What do we know about Rime? Well, it is being developed by Tequila Works with help from GreyBox and Six Foot. This title is supposedly set to release sometime in 2017. Here is a quick overview of the game:
Rime is a single-player puzzle adventure game about a young boy shipwrecked on a mysterious island after a torrential storm. Players must use their wits to decipher the challenges and secrets of an expansive world strewn with rugged terrain, wild creatures and the crumbling ruins of a long-forgotten civilization. With subtle narrative, colorful cel-shaded artwork and a sweeping score, Rime offers players a meaningful journey filled with discovery.
What are your thoughts of Rime coming to the Nintendo Switch? I personally am pretty excited, as this game looks to be quite interesting. I would definitely like to see some more gameplay of the the title though. You can check out a full list of games coming to the Nintendo Switch HERE.
Sacred HERO Nintendo Switch teaser trailer was just recently revealed. A small UK studio, SiMPLiSTiC, are working on this newly titled RPG/Adventure game.
The Sacred HERO is set to release on both PC and the Nintendo Switch. This brand new title is currently set to release in 2018. Ruven Wegner is also assisting with development of this title. If you don’t know who Ruven Wegner is, he is very talented and has dabbled with Zelda themed music. Take a look at the teaser trailer for Sacred HERO below:
SiMPLiSTiC stated the following about the new trailer:
The Sacred Hero is being developed for the Nintendo SWITCH. We have the license and the game is currently in development. Ruven Wegner (or as you may know him as Music Proposition) will be lending his talents towards the project. This game is aiming to take a unique twist on the RPG genre and we are excited to see your reactions to what we have in store! Stay tuned for more!
The teaser trailer does not reveal any gameplay, but at least we have something to look forward to. This is yet another game we can add to our list of confirmed games coming to the Nintendo Switch.
A brand new title, Seasons of Heaven has been announced for the Nintendo Switch. This will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive, and it looks amazing so far.
Screenshots of this title were first revealed by GameBlog.fr. This is one of the first Nintendo Switch exclusives to be officially announced. Seasons of Heaven is being developed by a French studio, AnyArts Productions. The title will focus around the story of Yann, a boy with Asperger’s syndrome. Seasons of Heaven also features Yann’s French bulldog Ani. Players will have the ability to play as both Ani and Yann throughout the game.
Seasons of Heaven is based off the book, Seasons of Heaven. While we did not receive much information about the actual gameplay, I assume the gameplay will revolve around the book. Here is a rundown on what the story is about:
A small group of people who find themselves survivors of the greatest purge every known will ultimately come to realize. In their struggles to survive on a stripped and barren earth, they will learn that humans across the world literally died as a result of their own careless actions. Centuries of lying waste to the very land that sustained them was what would kill them in the end. The animals would be killed and eaten into extinction. The trees would be cut more rapidly than they were replaced. The water needed to sustain all life would be polluted until it was undrinkable, and the air would be filled with waste that would suffocate the oxygen that was vital to their survival and the survival of everything else on earth. As the survivors learn to survive in a whole new world they will have to remember that the very things that gave their fellow humans a sense of superiority and even omnipotence were what had killed them in the end. Seasons of Heaven will take you from deep inside of a mystical forest at the beginning of time all the way through to the twenty-first century and the fall of civilization. It will take you on a journey with Yann, a young boy with Asperger’s syndrome and his faithful companion, Ani, a French bulldog who Yann is able to communicate with through telepathy.
This title is currently running on Unreal Engine 4, and the atmosphere looks great from the screenshots that were unveiled. GameBlog.fr has an interview set up with the developers of the game next week so we will find out more information then. We can add Seasons of Heaven to our list of games confirmed for the Nintendo Switch. Take a look at some of the screenshots below and let us know what you think. Click the images to make them larger.
EB Games Australia has several Nintendo Switch accessories available for pre-order. This is our first sighting of any Nintendo Switch accessories!
This accessory starter pack is sold by @Play. There is no description listed for the product but it does include the following items:
- Go Case
- 2x Screen protector
- Cleaning cloth
All of these products look REALLY generic and this really reveals nothing further on the Nintendo Switch. The accessory starter pack is currently listed at $39.95 on EB Games.
Personally I will be waiting for some better accessories to be released, but I do plan on getting some sort of carrying case for my Nintendo Switch. A screen protector will also be a must because I happen to be very OCD about fingerprints on my gaming devices. Will you all be buying accessories for your Nintendo Switch? What kind of accessories are must haves for you? Also, what do you think of this starter pack listed on EB Games?
Nintendo release some Zelda Breath of the Wild new footage at the Game Awards which took place last night. Here’s a recap of all the footage.
If anyone else was stuck working all last night then you missed the Game Awards just like I did… it sucks. Never fear though, I have created this recap to focus on the footage we all wanted to see. We all know everyone wanted to watch the game awards just to see this amazing Zelda breath of the Wild new footage. Here is a look at the teaser trailer Nintendo put together for us.
There has been all kinds of speculation rising up over this trailer. Several times throughout the trailer a female character is teased. This female happens to look A LOT like who we all know to be Zelda! Is it possible we will have the opportunity to play as Zelda? Or perhaps she plays alongside link throughout the story? At this point it is all speculation so we won’t know for sure till we get a further announcement, but Nintendo needs to stop teasing us like this. There is only so much hype I can take right now.
As if the teaser trailer was not enough, we even got some brand new gameplay footage from some Nintendo reps:
This showcased a new are we have yet to seen and it looks amazing! I love the fact they showed us a small little boss fight, and some stealthy approaches. I am a HUGE fan of being stealthy and sneaking up on enemies. I will be taking full advantage of some sneaky tactics in Zelda Breath of the Wild. I’ve had this gameplay on repeat for the last hour, and I can not get enough of it. I am ready to get my hands on Zelda Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch. What do you guys think of the brand new footage? Let us know in the comments.
